In celebration of Via Durini’s launch event, “Pieces of You,” Likha+Mundo Studio was invited to create a series of bespoke pieces that reflect identity, craftsmanship, and story. The result is the PIRASO Collection, a set of handcrafted papier-mâché vessels that honor individuality through form, texture, and process.
Each vessel is shaped by hand using recycled paper, embracing an organic, wabi-sabi approach where irregularity becomes the defining beauty. No two pieces are alike, each one carrying its own character, much like the people and spaces they are meant to inhabit. In dialogue with Via Durini’s refined Italian aesthetic, the collection brings together contrast: raw and polished, textured and smooth, intuitive and precise.
A defining element of the collection is its custom color, a bold and unexpected direction for Likha+Mundo. Known for its neutral and earthy palette, the studio stepped into new territory, developing a deep, layered blue inspired by Via Durini’s brand identity, resulting in a bespoke finish which Likha+Mundo called Ocean Floor. Blending rich ocean tones with grounded browns and soft highlights, the finish evokes hidden landscapes beneath the sea -- mysterious, intentional, and deeply rooted.
The journey was filled with both excitement and challenge. Creating in such a striking color pushed the team beyond familiar ground, from initial sketches to working closely with artisans, to refining paint mixtures to achieve the perfect hue. In the end, five distinct vessels were brought to life, each one designed to complement Via Durini’s vision while staying true to Likha+Mundo’s commitment to thoughtful, handmade design.
Gifted to select media partners during the launch on February 5, 2026, the PIRASO Collection stands as a meeting point of two design philosophies -- layered, tactile, and deeply human. Pieces that not only hold space, but also hold story.
