Likha+Mundo, meaning "creation and world" in Tagalog, is a rising Filipino home decor and small furniture brand. Our mission is to empower every homemaker by offering aesthetically-pleasing and thoughtfully-designed pieces that elevate contemporary living spaces.

Launched on Valentine's Day 2023, Likha+Mundo is a young brand with ambitious goals. We aspire to make a lasting impact on the Filipino creative industry and enrich the lives of families by fostering a love for beautifully designed and locally-made home decor.
OUR STORY
Likha+Mundo is led by two full-time moms and serial entrepreneurs, Iiko Asuque and Janica Rina-Ngo. With background in art, business and media, this duo is turning their love for and personal experiences in home styling into practical design solutions for homemakers everywhere.
"Being full-time homemakers ourselves, we have experienced the grueling process of finding the perfect home decor, accessories and furniture, and having to sort through hundreds of options only to find the perfect one too steep for the budget or not find one at all. This experience is not unique to the two of us -- many homemakers, especially those without any design background, need easier access to aesthetically elevated home styling pieces. And so Likha+Mundo was born."
Community, Impact & Purpose
During one of our supplier-hunting trips, we were able to speak to a woodworker in a small town in La Union, and he told us that he had been working for an "amo" all his life and never got to grow his own woodworking venture because he didn't have the means or support. He said with hopeful eyes that maybe, through our partnership, he could also grow with us.
In another encounter, a young entrepreneur told us that he found a couple of talented weavers in a far-flung area of the province — the very last few who could weave a certain type of buslo (a basket for fish), but the two were not weaving anymore and just did part-time construction jobs because weaving those old traditional items wouldn’t put food on the table. They also didn't think that teaching their kids the craft would be of any use to the family or create a brighter future for them.
It is these stories that motivate Likha+Mundo to pursue its mission. Likha+Mundo is on a quest to find unseen talented artisans from different corners of the country and help them grow their small family businesses and keep their creative traditions alive while helping Filipino homemakers create dream spaces.
Likha+Mundo isn't stopping there. We're aiming to empower even more communities by forging collaborative initiatives with various non-profit organizations focused on education and livelihood development for various communities that are in need of support.
The Art of Sustainability
Our paper mache decors are crafted from recycled paper, often salvaged from used school textbooks. We also adore using reclaimed wood for our wood objects. We retain the unique character of each piece, and these imperfections become beautiful details, ensuring each creation tells its own story. Likha+Mundo transforms these discarded materials into extraordinary home accents, each one imbued with character and adds a touch of soul to your space.
