ArteFino 2024 DUTA (Paper Mache Vase)

DUTA (meaning "soil" or "land") is a one-of-a-kind vase that features a captivating blend of art and nature, inspired by the breathtaking Banaue Rice Terraces. Its irregular, stratified form, crafted from paper mâché, mirrors the intricate layers and undulating curves of the iconic rice fields. The surface, finished with our signature soil mixture, changes color over time, adding a dynamic and living element to the piece.

The lower half is constructed from reclaimed wood -- all of the wood's character acquired through time and use preserved. This fusion of materials highlights the importance of sustainability and the harmonious coexistence of nature and humans.
